The Parent's Corner
Hi Parents! We’re thrilled to have your children with us and are committed to creating a space where they can thrive, create, and have fun. While creativity is at the heart of everything we do, their safety is just as important—and we take that responsibility seriously. The Parent Corner is your go-to resource for everything you need to know, including safety guidelines, dress code, transportation details, holiday and absence policies, and our commitment to DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion). Scroll down to find answers to your questions and feel confident knowing your young artists are in good hands.

Safety First
EMERGENCY: In case of any type of emergency, students will gather at the lot attached to Mount Carmel Baptist Church's parking lot. Parents will be notified immediately through the Remind App (where all updates are sent).

The door to our classroom will be locked 10 minutes after class has started and will remain locked until class is dismissed. Of course students and parents are able to come in and out as they please, as long as they are wearing a name tag. This is to provide a barrier between any potential threats.

Students will be encouraged to stay focused and on task however students' cellular devices will never be taken. Our students should always have direct line of contact with you. If the phone becomes a distraction, the parent will be notified.

Classes have a strict capacity of 10 students per class. This is the legal limit for student to teacher ratio.
Drop-off &
Check Out

All students will be required to be checked in and out by a guardian (or emergency contact) upon arrival. The adult must park and come inside to pick up or drop off student(s). Student badges must be worn at all times while in the Recreational Facility.

We plan to work in conjunction with the local schools in the Winchester area to provided transportation to the Jim Barnett Park Recreational Center via (after) school bus. We will keep you updated as we know more.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind. Everyone in our community — students, families, and staff — is expected to uphold our values of kindness, empathy, and mutual respect.

Dress
Code
Dress for movement and confidence!

If an outfit isn’t school-appropriate, it won’t work for SingSmart either.
Comfortable, stretchy clothing is best.

Show day outfits get a little extra flair, but must be approved by both the parent and instructor.
